Default W/X Rajazan and Merki build

Ok first off I am not sure if this build is already posted but I didn't see one that kills both so here is what I use.

-Weapon-
Stance Shield
Any Sword with +5 armor - Running Sword
Victos Sword - fight
Rajazan's Fervor - emergency energy boost while running
-or-
Totem Axe

-Run-
Strength 11+4
Tactics 12+1
Swords 6+1

-Fight-
Strength 11+1
Tactics 12+1
Swords 6+4

Sprint
Glads
Bonettis
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Pure Strike
Heal Sig
Dolyaks

The helmet is swapped for running and fighting. For the run, jog down the stairs till the first group is ontop of you then hit Glads and keep jogging. Once glads wears out then hit sprint. Sprint will wear off when you are at the last group. just keep jogging and hit sprint when it's up again. If you are out of energy then switch too a secondary weapon setup to sprint again. A Rajazan or Totem Axe is perfect for this. By then you are at the shrine to heal up.

Switch out to your swords setup here and kill the 6 skales that attack. After that you can either fight the outcast or ignore them. I like to kill them cause they drops nice golds on occasion. After the first group of outcast run past the boat and sprint past the assasins unless you want to kill them which is pretty easy. Next you will have to kill the outcast spawn that sit's infront of Merki. Kill the Rit last, just remember to back off when they cast Vengeful was Kanai. Now Merki can easily be pulled and killed. Sometimes you will not be able to get him alone. If that is the case I kill the warrior first then assassin then deathhand then Merki. I leave the Rit alone. Once he is dead start running towards Rajazan. When the first group of Shirokens are near you hit sprint then glads when sprint is out. Then hit sprint again for the last group.
When crossing the dragons be careful not to aggro them cause you will probably die. Once you see Rajazan sprint past him and his gang and run past the portal. The scales will follow you sometimes and at this point you can kill them. Now to kill Rajazan. He is a pain to pull so I just aggro them all. I kill the Warrior, Assassin, Deathhand then Rajazan.

When fighting Rajazan and Merki it's pretty straight forward. Keep glads and bonettis up whenever possible. Also use your heal sig only when glads or bonettis is up and when you have a riposte ready. the riposte will block their attack if it gets by your stance so your heal will work. The entire run take about 10 minutes I think to kill both and some enemies. Running with glads is more difficult but I find having glads instead of another run skill much more useful when fighting the groups.

good luck =)

nice, looks good. I'll have to try this out. Do you have any trouble with dying? ATM I'm Kurzick and won't respawn at that nice point.

And for those of us who haven't killed Rajazan yet (thus the purpose of this solo build), we probably don't have the Fervor yet to use. But the Totem is hella easy to get,......maybe put that up top. This build looks like it might be good against the mantid monk boss in the Skyway way up top of it. You have to run past a bunch of Jade Bros, then need to basically out whack his healing abilities (I tried Grenths build but when we both got low I couldn't out whack him).

Nice sugestion on the Totem Axe =).
I rarely die during the run. The only time I die is when I get lazy and don't side step the Shiroken at the beginning =). I'll have to go try killing the monk boss but it might be tough since riposte and deadly riposte are the main dmg dealers. I suppose you could swap sprint for Galrath or Final Thrust.

Don't use the bleeding riposte vs Raj, he just touches it back...

he does touch it back but no big deal. the initial dmg given to him more then makes up for it. if you don't use it you'll be there a bit longer to kill him.

When do I get the sword?
I have killed this guy at least 20 times over the past three days; he has not dropped it yet. The sword I see him with looks like Sskai's Sword, not a Katana or long sword at all! Am I waisting my time attacking him when I don't see him with the sword? If he has it, do you see that skin when he is fighting you?
Thanks

nice build. i usually drop glads in favor of charge but i see how glads can keep you alive while sprint is down. also glads will help getting healsig off vs. exhausting assault or disrupting chop.

i run 11 str, 9 swords, 16 tac for the entire thing.
deadly riposte
riposte
flurry
shields up! (helps vs. debilitating shot)
dolyak
healsig
sprint
charge

i will give your build a go

If he's wielding the sword when you fight him, you'll get it. (3/3 times for me)
Otherwise, he's dropped the sword for me once when he was wielding a wicked blade (Sskai's sword skin).

thanks remmeh =) i used charge {E} at first but decided to drop it in order to take out the mobs along the way more comfortably. The debilitating shot i don't really worry about since Glads blocks some of those. The only thing that i worry about is an assasin that would cripple me while running...which is why i kill them off first. I used flurry also at first but wanted to do more dmg so i subbed in pure strike + a vamp sword. I was thinking of using Whirlwind + On you Knees for a constant glads build. i'm gonna try after work and see how it goes.

Glads {E}
Sprint
riposte
deadly riposte
heal sig
bonetti's
whirlwind
On Your Knees

carloskappa, i have seen him wield the katana twice and didn't get it those times...got my 3 swords when he was weilding the wicked blade.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll just keep killing him until I get it or he stops dropping anything. Then go do a mission, farm someplace else, and start over the next day!

unfortunately he doesn't drop it all to often. I've killed him probably close to 80 times now and only 3 have dropped. Merki has dropped the shield 2x for me. then again i have real bad luck with green drops.

I posted this a little over a week ago. I improved the build quite a bit moments after posting it but it gets the job done pretty well.

I finally got my first sword this morning! Man it must have taken me almost fifty kills for him to drop it! The only thing I did different was after three runs I would go to Aspenwood and fight, then come back to farming. The sword dropped the third time on the first run after I started doing this.

yeah it's a pain to get that sword...at least this way green prices won't plummet =).

I used the typical grenths build at first but didn't like it much for this run so I came up with this. Grenths is great for some mobs but imo not this one since the bosses don't heal themselves nearly as much as ssakai.
